Direction

Why You Need To Know Where You’re Going

You can run as hard as you want and as fast as you want and as consistently as you want. But if you are running in the wrong direction, you won’t build what it is that you want to build. It’s like a person that runs a marathon. If the race were to start and they were to run as fast and as hard as they can for 26.2 but it was in the wrong direction. They will never reach their goal of the finish line.

This is why having a vision or a blueprint is so important to what you want to build. You have to know which direction you’re going. It doesn’t need to be super intrinsically planned out to the last detail. But you have to know which direction you want to be going. Envision yourself a year from now. What does that person look like? How do you feel? What have you built? What habits and disciplines do you need to put into place to get to that point? That’s how you build direction. From there, you are then able to run as hard and as fast and as consistently as you want to reach your destination of choice.

Map out where you want to go. Give yourself a blueprint. And then go to work to get to that point.
